yeah the trouble with a new classifieds site is that if no one's selling anything, no one's buying anything, so it doesn't really get a lot of action until someone gets the ball rolling.

post to LJ as normal, but click the dropdown to "Post to:" and select buffalo_dorks instead of your blog... it should be an option if you joined the community (at the top of their profile page) rather than just friending it, which just lets you see stuff...

:o)

You should join and post a link for this to 'buffalo_dorks' over on LJ... there are quite a few people who would appreciate it.

I just thought it was funny they named it "Active". But anything that gets people outside and cuts down on pollution is a big plus in my book.
I understand the sweat issue, I commute 8.5 miles with lots of uphill to work and I work in a professional office setting. Fortunately, I learned how to deal with that problem. Also being a girl, I don't think we sweat quite as much as guys...little perks of femaledom :)

Yes, but the reason I like it is that it extends the range of the daily commuter and allows for people to ride to work without getting all sweaty.

For example, by day I work at a school with a nice fitness facility, so no problem showering before work, but that's not the case at my night job, so I wouldn't want to arrive there all sweaty.

Hey Thomas, thanks for the shout out. Sometimes, I feel like the world is going more toward this petroleum thing, rather than toward something better. Scott rides as a conscious choice to do his part to make the world, and himself, better. I'd like to see more education, and incentives for riding, in a town like ours.

Safe riding everyone...
