Critical Mass or “minimal mass”
Friday, February 25th, 2005Only six people showed up for Critical Mass tonight, so we joked that it was more like a minimal mass.
But it was fun. It seemed warmer than it did this morning on my way to work, but maybe I’m wrong, I’ll have to check the weather web site.
I put pictures on the Critical Mass web site, but here’s one anyway:

We rode up Delaware, crossed at Chippewa to Franklin, rode up to Allen Street, oh, we stopped a couple times to fix John’s bike, and then we went to the Pink because they had $2 pints of Guinness. I didn’t have any money with me at all, not even $2, so Tom and Gumby bought me beer. Nice guys. They were going somewhere else afterwards, but I headed home.
It was a nice ride home. Not too cold, not too windy, and I took my time, going about 11 or 12 mph most of the times that I looked down at my speedometer. I really enjoyed the quiet time to think and just enjoy being alive and active. I have a new business idea that I’ve been working on, so I was thinking about that for a couple miles, and I’m getting more excited about the idea of starting my own business (though it would only be a part-time business, so I’d have to keep my day job, as the saying goes). Hopefully in a few months I’ll have a big announcement to make, but until I can actually get it going, I’m going to be secretive about it. I wonder if both of the readers of this blog are now intrigued….
