season 2 of the bike taxi
Sunday, April 30th, 2006
I started the second season of my bike taxi company today, and what a difference from last April 30th. Today the weather was warm, the sky was sunny, and there were throngs of people downtown. Last year, I had one passenger, this year, I had three or four couples ride with me, and one guy rode by himself because he was tired of waiting for the bus.
So many people honking and waving and telling me how cool they thought the bike taxi is. This is so much fun, I can’t believe I get paid to do this.
So I rode about 20 miles today. I started off near the hockey arena and the baseball stadium, but once those games started, the streets were pretty clear, so I headed up toward Allentown and the Elmwood Village. ALL my passengers were on Elmwood, which is not what I expected at all–I thought I’d get all my riders at the sports events.
